Default Do I need a suspension part???

I had my S70 on jacks today replacing the front brake pads. Then I put the wheel back on I noticed that the wheel could move a little when I had my hads at 3 & 9 o'clock. It wiggled a little, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch and made the thing that connects to the transmission (wheel axle I guess) go in and out.

I'm not sure if that is normal or if something needs to be replaced.

Not normal; have someome else wiggle the wheel while you get under the car and see where the play is. Most likely ball joint or tie rod end.

Rear tie rod joint bad. Had it replaced for $100.
