Considering an 850. Need Suspension Help
I live in Canada and have come across a 1997 850 wagon with AWD and five speed manual transmission. It has about 125,000 miles on it.
The owner seems to be straightforward and says it needs new nivomatic shocks on the rear. I can't find these listed on any of my usual part websites as the 850 AWD was not imported into the United States.
I assume that the nivomatic shocks from a 98 V70 AWD would fit. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, how difficult and expensive is it to replace the nivomatics with traditional shocks and springs?
Thanks,
Todd

http://www.fcpgroton.com/volvo850shocks.htm - $305 USD per piece...
Since you're in Canada, it's going to be even worse (customs, etc)...
