Default door check broken

Summer is here and the younger son pulls up with a years worth of Volvo problems. So I have 2 months of fun ahead.

One repair I haven't seen addressed has to do with the driver side Door Check.
It doesn't work so the door just keeps opening. So far he hasn't ripped the door off or caused any damage(he's very careful) but......... well, I better fix it fast.
The sheet metal is torn a bit but not through any bolt holes. Do I need to remove the inner door panel to change this puppy out?

Also, FCP Groton has the part for a '98 S70 but it is listed as a "non-turbo" part. Can't see why that would make a difference here but then I can't see as why they wouldn't list it as "turbo/non-turbo" or the like either. Any ideas?

thanks, Don

Yes you have to remove the door panel to replace it.
Turbo or non does not matter on that part.
