My guess would be 3,000 to 4,000 Amercian dollars depending on the price of the engine.

I'm not sure on the exact price, but new engines typically run 9k (US) and up from volvo. We just installed a used engine in a 01 cross country. The owner of the car purchased it from a junkyard in georgia and it racked up a total of 6.5k (US). They aren't cheap. So make sure you know for SURE that you engine is blown. Can you give us any insight as to what happened?

i brought the car to the track few days ago, the engine just starting shacking while i was running on the track, the the oil light came on with it. than i towed the car back to grage, the engine starts, but no oil presure, also i think two cyclinders just don't work or maybe one doesn't work and another one burns the coolent, engine runs with really lound knocking sound. sounds like the connecting rod knocking the cyclinder wall, but i am not familier with volvo engine, so i didn't open it, just wondering anyone knows a good grage in toronto who knows well for volvo engines
