Default Engine upgrade questions

Background my 99 S70 AWD has 150k miles on it but still runs like a tank. I was wondering if it would be cost effective to do an ecu, exhaust, intake upgrade? I was also toying with the idea of maybe acquiring a S60R engine and trying to swap it in. I know that will prolly run more than the upgrade kit but due to the mileage on the block and such it may be better in the long run.

I found a upgrade kit online for $1700 or so that would push hp to around 254 hp and 305 torque.

Thanks in advance.

I would do the upgrade to the motor you have.
As long as it was taken care of pretty well you should be fine.

Just do the "upgrade kit". I bet your speaking of the one from EuroSportTuning (EST).

I would highly suggest looking into piece mealing all the parts, just to compare.

Why? Because sometimes a local shop that can mandrel bend can make you a downpipe and catback system for less then what you can buy prefabbed.
