Default ETS

I have a 2000 s70. The ETS came on last week. The dealer says it's the acclerator pedel switch. $335 w/ labor. I had it cleaned 7 months ago for $50. Does this sound right?

The pedal sensor rarely goes bad most of the time it is the throttle body.
Try having it cleaned again first.

Ok your ETS light came on. This is your Electronic Throttle system. What I am saying is your Throttle body is going bad. You need it replaced. It is an electronic throttle system. Only a Volvo dealer can replace it. Also it will cost about $1,000 dollars. I just had mine replaced for just under $1,000 dollars.

Check your fuses under hood either # 7 or 21 . My 2001 did not have a 21 when I checked 7 it was bad. Replaced and RPS went up to normal. Volvo dealer wanted 1500 for repairs. It was a 60 cent fuse for god sake.
