ETS light, HELP PLEASE
My ets light has been on and acceleration is very jerky or "unsmooth" i should say. This happens mostly in 1st gear and also when im going into a new gear. Before i bring it to the dealer i would like to see if anyone has a idea of what exactly it could be, whether throttle related or something else in the engine. thanks.

Have it scanned... There is a 10 yr, 200,000 mile warranty on the ETM's on our cars.
ETM = Electronic Throttle Module
Now if for some reason yours isn't covered by Volvo your going to be spending $900-$1200 for a replacement.
And with the symptoms your experiencing I wouldn't drive it but only to take to the dealership and it sounds like it is the ETM and it will need replaced. Oh and yes the ETM can only be replaced by a Volvo dealership.
