Question fan light on, now off but no fan

i have a 2000 S70 sedan. my fan dash light was on so i took apart and clean all the relay and fuse contacts . the fuses were corroded into the holders. clean it all up and replaced the fuses but still no fan. the a/c isn't charged so couldn't test the fans that way. anyone got any suggestions as to what could be next , Ets sensor etc? my first volvo since my old 1961 carborated , so not at all familiar with any electronic systems at all.

I think I would pull the fan and see if it spins, is so i would give it 12 volts. if it's all good then the resistor would be the next thing I would suggest. They are are problematic. if the fan is good but you are getting voltage then I'd replace the resister. No voltage the you may have an issue in the climate control module - but i doubt it.

BTW, the motors can be taken apart and lubed (couple of youtubes on the subject) which may be the way to go since your AC isn't working.

the fan spins fine. not stuck or froze up. i am going to pull the center connector off the relay ,jump the terminals 1 at a time to ground and see if the fan motors on eithe terminal. there doesnt seem to be any power to the relay fuse terminals either. but the engine has never over heated to this point.
