Fuel pump removal problem
New in this forum. Hello everybody!!!
Pulled out the fuel pump because the car was stalling after a few seconds of idling and dies when accelerator is step on. I did not encounter any problem on first try and hot wired the fuel pump and it was working fine. My problem is when I was re-assembling I accidentally reversed hoses. Fuel line went to the "return" of fuel pump and vice versa, now the quick connect fitting that went to the "return" can not be removed. Is there a way to relieve pressure created by vacuum "pull" which I believe is sucking the quick connect connected to the "return" stem? Will a quick connect removal tool help? and what kind?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks guys

Well, there is a valve stem just behind the fuel filter. You can also pull the fuel pump relay and hit the starter, maybe that will help. Lastly you can pull the filter loose, that should relieve pressure.
