The new-to-us 1999 S70 NA we just purchased with 119k miles makes a significant groaning noise when turned hard to the left, as in turning into a parking space. Right turn makes only a slight noise. Is this the suspension bushing issue that's common for a vehicle with this mileage? I told my daughter just try to keep from turning it to the lock when she turns left into a parking space.

 

If you look under the car on the front of the lower control arm you will see a plastic steering stop. Put some grease on it and that should take care of the noise.
