headlight out

1. Replace the bulb that went out with a regular Halogen bulb like the one that went out.
It isn't hard. You open the hood, you remove the dust cap that covers the bulb and you remove the connector that lights the bulb up. Remove the wire clip holding the bulb in place and pull the bulb out and put the new one in and just reverse your process to get it working again.
2. The only aftermarket assemblys are that made by ABM who back the Chrome and Black Projector headlight assemblies and turn signals. These run anywhere from $300-$500 and if the turn signals aren't included expect to pay around $90-$100 for those.
These are easy to install... Open your hood remove the three 10mm bolts that hold each headlight assembly in place remove the old assemblies put the new ones in and replace the bolts and your done.
And use the same instructions from above to put in your bulbs. Also with doing this you'll want to re-aim your headlights and while you can do this yourself you may want to go to a shop to have it done so that your not blinding people and possibly get pulled over for it. It should only cost like $20 to have them re-aimed.
- EuroSportTuning (EST)
- IPD USA
- Ebay
*These places sell the ABM Projector headlights. They fit 1998-2000 model 70 series Volvo's.
3. Aftermarket bulbs? Like Sylvania Silverstars and PIAA? Yes they will fit if you get the right size for your vehicle.
4. Will HID's fit? Yes if you get the right size for your vehicle. Also with HIDs I hope you realize you cannot just install the bulbs and expect to think your running HIDs. That isn't how it works. You need to get an HID kit, like what SharpHID.com sells. It comes with the Bulbs, Ballasts, Wires. It is a little bit more indepth in what you have to do to make them work, but nothing too too major.
