Default Headlight Reflector seperated...

So I replaced my headlamps today with some 'Siverstars'... Well my passengerside lense's reflector had seperated from the housing... Very strange, I can pull it back into place but it stays pretty loose. Are these serviceable? Can i take the clips off the lense and glue that housing back or something.. Anyone else have this happen?

1998 s70.. Thanks for the help.

I would pull the clips for the lens and see what happened inside.

Yeah, that happened to one of mine when I installed HID's and I freaked out. You need to take the lens off to properly fix it. The top of the reflector attaches to the housing by means of rubber tube which has popped off. This tube allows the angle of the reflector to vary while remaining attached to the housing. You can fix it temporarily by pulling the reflector back into place, however chances are the rubber tube will eventually fall off when you hit a bump (happened to me). It is extremely easy to fix and only requires you to "push" the reflector back into place once the lens is off. You need to take the lens off because the reflector is only going to stay if you push it back from the front, as opposed to trying to pull it from behind. Its a crappy design IMHO but is luckily easy to fix.

The clips pop off and the lens will come right off, there is a rubber gasket glued to the lens but not the housing. The headlight comes out easily by removing 3 bolts. When you reinstall the headlight be careful not to over-tighten the bolts, if you do, the washer built into the housing will break free (another crappy flaw) and you will never get the headlight off again.
