help no power dead batteries short
i have a 2000 s70 and the batteries dies in a day or two if leave the cable hooked up. when i hook the cable and test the batteries they read dead.now cant get the car to start at all . The car has no power going to the dash, lights, ignition, nothing checked all the fuses all good can any one help

allow me to recap... 1) new issues/new cars should get posted to new threads. Consider this a general sticky post. 2) the process write up with pics is on the first page. 3) so step 1 is buy a multi-meter. step 2, recharge the battery. step 3, use the meter in current mode to measure draw between the battery and the crimp terminal. if more than 25mA go to next step. step 4, hook the battery back up and start pulling fuses. measure current across the two slots. If anything is drawing more than .025A (ok, that's the same as 25mA) see what's powered through that fuse. Plan B is to read all the other posts on finding odd lights on like vanity mirrors, glove box lights, power antennas and the like...
