I have a quick easy brake question.
Someone asked if I could change their front brake pads and rotors on their 2000 s70.
Initial reaction was sure, no big deal.
Then I began to think, in the past there has been a rare occasion were a special tool was required (other make/model vehicles), so I figured I best find some volvo experts and ask:
Is there a special tool or step required to replace the front brake pads and rotors on a 2000 s70, as opposed to typical rotor/pad replacement?
Thanks

I have a '99 S70 and there were no special tools required. I assume the 2000 is the same. Two of the bolts on the caliper require either a torx or hex key. I forget which one.
The rear brakes are a different story, though. So if you have to replace the pads and rotors on the rear, its a dual piston caliper and you would have to use a punch to knock out the pins that hold the pads on.
