Idles fine but dies with throttle
Hi guy's, I'm new here so take it easy on me
I just bought a '98 S70. I was told the fuel filter might be keeping the car drivable... I took it for a ride in the parking lot. It seemed to be ok. I braked hard in reverse and drive. It didn't seem to have any problems. I replaced the fuel filter anyway and when I went to drive home I didn't make it out of the lot It will move ever so slowly as long as I don't give it any gas. I tried riding the brake and keeping it at about 1500 rpm as I drove but it eventually died and is now waiting to be towed. It will start just fine as long as I don't give it any gas. I have an OBDII I'm going to try today. Was wondering if anyone out there had the same or similar problem that they fixed and could tell me what they did.
Thanks!
