Default Leaking Rack caused by tie rod and control arm replacement?

As of about three days ago, I am having a major power steering fluid leak through the drivers side boot of the rack. I will lose all of the fluid in about 2 days of light driving.

But, what is suspicious to me, less than two months ago I had a shop replace the inner and outer tie rod ends, control arms, and an alignment for my annual Virginia inspection. Now, I am having the major leak, and my front driver tire is having excessive wear on the outer shoulder.

My question is, is it possible that the work done two months ago was inadequate/faulty and has caused the rack to fail?

Yes. The shop got the alignment way off so it's possible they also damaged a seal in the rack. Not certain but possible.

Possible, but no way to prove anything.
