Default loosing coolant
2000 S70 turbo, I have put 500 miles on and the coolant level in the reservoir has gone from max to min, any ideas where to look for problems?

Do you see anything on the ground? if now i would pull the passenger side carped up and look to see if its damp down there.. heater core could be leaking..

no visable leaks, I will check the carpet, do these cars blow head gaskets?

500 miles - since what?
a 2000 is ready for a heater core - check both sides.
If you just replaced fluid, hoses, or radiator you may just be having some trapped air working it's way out.

500 miles since I bought it, made sure the the fluid was topped off, don`t know when anything was changed

You may have a leak at the head gasket. But check under the overflow reservoir where the bottom hose connects to the tank. Hopefully you just have a bad rubber hose.

I think I found my leak, the hose under the tank was loose, it was dripping coolant, tightened the clamp about 3 -4 turns, will test it tomarrow, thanks tr-car-nut for your idea

We had a leak in our S70 GLT. Turned out to the the resevior cap. It was split and cracked. $3 at U-Pull-I t.

fixed, it was the coolant tank, both hose connections were bad
