Hi folks - just thought I'd add this as a datapoint for others to consider if you have an S70. Mine is a 1998 with roughly 165,000 miles, and recently, Iwould come out to the carin the morningto find the battery mysteriously completely drained - every few days this would happen, whereas other mornings, it would be perfectly fine.

I'll spare you all the details, because it took awhile, but it was an intermittent short circuit that turned out to be in the brake light switch - so you may like to file this datapoint away in your brain should you have a similar symptom. I came pretty near the end of my rope with this car - no matter what ****ling things may be wrong, it's got to start when you turn the key.
