Oil pressure mystery solved!!!!
Finally! Success!!!
After dropping the oil pan for the 4th time in this adventure, removed the crossmember again too, now I'm a expert lol, really makes it 200% easier, lol.
Had zero oil pressure, no oil moving at all, and pump was replaced, I was thinking the O-rings. It wasn't quite the O-rings but close.
So, dropped the pan and found the connection at the feeder pipe to the pump looked like this:
Obviously not a good seal. The O-ring was new but there was wiggle room in the pipe, the other seal in the block was similar.
Was able to order a new feeder pipe and you can see in the picture the original pipe (bottom in the pic) has is bent on the horizontal which would connect to the pump. In full disclosure, I probably bent the pipe when I tried reinstalling it with the pan only dropped half way, the Haynes way.
So, took it all out. Put the new pipe in with new seals. Primed the pump again, with the pipe in it so I know that oil came all the way out. And it looked like this installed:
Buttoned it all back up, really an expert at the crossmember now, tear down, fix, new gasket and back together in under 3 hours. didn't include putting the suspension back together. I disconnected the steering rack from the crossmember and disconnected the ball joints and control arms for ease (had just worked on them anyway).
so got it all together, started it up and relief!!
Just got a little exhaust leak at the cat connection to the down pipe but getting her out of the garage tomorrow!!!!!
