Default Need Advice

Recently I purchased an S70 and was provided with only one key and remote. If I purchase a new key and remote from the dealer should I have them program both or is there a OBDII reader/programmer that will do that? Thanks for any info.

You can find a used remote on eBay for much less than a new one from the dealer.

They key however you'll probably have to get at the dealer.

Sorry to 'tag onto' the OP's question.

I have a similar situation. The plastic housing for our second remote--- well...kinda...broke in amillion pices. Ok...only about 10-12 plastic chunks.

my question is...would it be possible toorder someone's remote from ebay...and 'swap' the electronics in side of the remote?

You can swap your electronics into another case very easily.

OK the question is answered about the remote but how about the key programming. Is there such an animal as a OBDII programmer that will program the new key. If not, does anyone recommend a specific OBDII that is idiot proof. Thanx.
