I have a 98 V70glt with a burnt valve and a turbo with a bad wastegate bushing that causes exhaust to leak where the actuator rod connects. I think the turbo is good, but since I have to dismount it I may as well rebuild it.

At the junkyard yesterday I came across a 97 850R with 111k on the clock. It is pretty much unmolested at this point, it must have just arrived. I'm considering pulling the head and turbo and swapping them in (after decking the head of course), and that would mean the least amount of downtime for Marilyn (that's what my wife calls her).

Is this a bolt-on and go deal? Are there any pieces that need to also be harvested from the 850, like ECU, injectors, MAF sensor, etc?

 

The heads are the same.

Don't trust the mileage, 850's have a bad history of the odometers going bad.

 

If I were you, I would change the valve stem seals if you plan to keep the car longer than a year.
