Default new battery, now engine wont fire

I have a 99 S70 that I have had all sorts of problems with over the past 4 years. Just Monday, I had a dead battery that I got replaced. Of course, I did the free alt and starter test while purchasing the battery and both are fine...so today, the car wont start. starter and battery are working fine, engine will not fire. Just not sure where to start or go next before I head to the mechanic

so I took my car to my local mechanic who is always wonderful. After getting the car towed there, they found a lot of debris in the air intake causing the mass air flow sensor to cease working. Therefore, the car wouldn't start. They cleaned the sensor area and car has fired up fine everytime.
