Default new problems! help!

my s70 t5 is having a few problems. 1st of all, it has trouble starting the first time of the day, like it will start and go to 500 rpms and be really shaky before it goes up to its normal 900-1000. this is only on cold starts which are usually in the morning.

second, its being real slow lately. it takes almost 10 seconds to get up to 60 and the turbo makes loud hissing noises even at low speeds. i have the IPD tcv, and it has been working fine until a couple of weeks ago when it gave me the Turbo Control Valve P1237 code again. could my new valve be bad already or is there something else??? my volvo expert insists that the vacuum lines are fine, but it sounds as if one is loose or has a hole in it.

Please help! I want my fast quiet car back!

It sounds like a vacuum leak. Have you checked for them?

Also about the starting - even though that could be related to the vacuum issue, check your oil. I used to have dry start problems with my old car and it idled perfectly right away after I added some Lucas to the oil mix.

Let us know.

The problem started about a week ago. Since then I had my oil changed at Volvo, they put synthetic in. They also changed the air filter because it was real bad. The idle gets worse when the ac is on and when the air is humid

There's definatly something wrong with your vacuum sys. then. It sounds to me like your fuel/air mixture is off...
