New starter - power issues afterwards
Got a new starter $225 with labor $150 I think I got a decent deal.
On way home from picking up car, I would lose throttle for a few seconds with some idiot lights lighting up (Tracs and ABS to be exact) then my power would resume and the lights would go off. This happened about 4 times on the 10 minute ride home, once I even lost the spedometer.
Opon parking at my fathers and attempting to restart I had no juice. We were able to start it no problem jumping from another battery.
The question: Could my battery gotten really dead at the shop to the point it displayed the symptoms above? Possible alternator problem now???
We are going to have it on a charger for a few hours/overnight to see if a full battery makes the difference. From what I understand from previous ownerhe did have the electroinc throttle recall completed, BTW.
Thanks for anyinsight.

Multimeter time. I would check the battery in the morning and see if it came up to 12.6 or so. Then start the car and check the voltage again with the car running. If it's 14.6 you've got a good charging system, and it's time to call the people that put it in.
If I remember right, the ground coming off the starter terminates at the front piece of the subframe above the tow hooks. You could check the connections there and at the started to make sure they're clean and tight.
