Default new tires

so I just recently got new tires for my volvo s70 awd sedan I got the falken ziex ze329

they seem pretty smooth on the road and through the curves I have only put 10 miles on them so we will see

but the wheel place said they couldnt do an alignment because of a loose right tie rod

I was skeptical, said it was $190 to repair, so I decided to pass on it tonight

if their are any reasons I should get my tie rod repaired asap let me know

thanks

steve

Default RE: new tires

If you have a bad tie rod, then this can be a safety issue for it controls your steering. One tire is not responding in tandem with the other side. It will also wear your new tire irregularly. Raise the side of the tire in question. Hold the 3 and 9 o'clock and wiggle. If you get a bit of play, then your mechanic is most likely on the level. If the $190 inlcudes alignment, then it is a fair price. You might as well have the other side for it may be going bad as well. You don't want to have to pay for another alingment.
