Default No daytime running lights/headlights

Fuses and relays seem to be OK. When I turn on the headlights, the rear lights and yellow marker lights come on, but not the headlights. When I hold down the high beam lever, they come on. Any Suggestions?

Try pushing in on the headlight switch.
The headlight switches break. It is a common problem.

NOTE: this may be covered under the recall, any certified volvo shop can replace this for free.

Do you see a screw like object on the headlight dial? If so someone might have them turned off this way. Get a small screwdriver and turn it one direction and see if daytime running lights work. If not try the other way and see if they work.

Pushing in the switch worked, but it would not stay like that. It's like it was spring loaded. I tried to turn that little screw to no avail either. Can anyone confirm whether or not there is a recall on that?

If not covered, will the dash need to be disassembled to replace it? I certainly hope not...
