Default Perhaps my own idiot fault...

So today I got gas and I locked my doors out of habit. I use my key fob to open my driver's side door and I yanked on the handle too quickly and tried to open the door while it was still unlocking. Now my key fob won't unlock that door. You hear the motor trying to push the **** up and you see it go up about a millimeter and then fall back. It'll open the other doors and the trunk just fine. And my key will unlock the door just fine too. So did I just mess up the mechanism and I'll have to take the door apart to fix it or is there some simple (or simpler) trick I can do?

The lock actuator probably broke. That's usually how it happens- operating the door handle while unlocking or locking the door with the power locks. Sorry... you'll have to open up the door to fix it, and it's a bit of a pain. The actuator is part of the door latch, and the latch costs about $100- $150 new. You can find them pretty easily online. I don't recommend getting them from a salvage yard, as the plastic levers that break are going to be just as brittle and old as your current ones.
