Problems with my 2000 S70
New To the Board,
Hello All,
I have a 2000 Volvo S70 and I love it. There are a few problems with it now that I need to see about getting addressed.
1) I just noticed my door panels (the plastic around the leather) is peeling off, as in it is completely coming off, and if I pull very lightly it feels as if I can pull the whole thing off.
2) The leather skin on the door, around the handle) is peeling, like it has an air bubble behind it.
3) I do not use Volvo replacement lights and ever since I replaced them the turn signal blinks 2-3x faster than a normal turn signal.
I believe thats it for right now, I hope you guys can help me or tell me what I should do.
Thanks,
Mackey

1. do you mean the door panel is like falling into the door?
2. There isn't much you can do besides replace the door panels.I know the dealers used to repair them but not sure if they sell the kit over the counter.
3.Remove the bulbs and check for burnt marks on the bulbs and sockets.

1. You may be able to buy reinforcement molding to hold the panels in place. Can't guarantee its durability, though.
2. Like tech said, not much that can be done. My leather is also cracking and showing signs of serious wear.
3. It may be a problem with the module block that controls your turning signals. Might want a mechanic to check out the wiring and connectivity.

Like, the plastic that goes around the leather/speaker/door handle inside the car is pulling off, as if it was glued on, I do not know whats connecting it.
I understand about the leather, I was thinking about popping a small hole in it with a syringe filled with glue then pushing the leather down, dunno if thats smart or not.
