Default Radiator petcock leak

So I noticed a couple of days ago that the petcock seems to be slowly dripping. What's the best way to fix this? I tried tightening it a bit more gently but don't want to overdo it and strip it. Should I get a replacement petcock? If so, where? (It seems to be leaking around the thread area)

I know there aren't many left on this forum, my posts usually go unanswered, but I'd really appreciate some sort of prompt reply since issues on these cars typically are the same for many...

Is it leaking through the center or the threads around it? If its just the center you could try and replacing.

Seems to be at the threads. I don't want to tighten it TOO much, since it is plastic if I'm correct? It just started doing this about 2 weeks ago, I haven't touched it in months.

Is the petcock a reverse thread? Someone told me they usually are...would explain me tightening it a hair not helping if so.

Ok, I've ordered it via Amazon and it's actually arriving today. Thank you again for your help. It's been ok the past few days but I'm obviously not trusting it.
