Rim insanity
Ok, A MEGA pothole came right at my rim (1998 S70 T5) and put a nice size bend in it.
So, I have searched for an hour here and other volvo sites, and therefore conclude that I suck, or this info is not available. If I suck please dont flame too much.
Here is/are my questions. I bought arim from aCraigslist addescribed as the 16" columbia rim. I could have sworn that they were the same by the pictures, but now having them, it is clearly not the same as thestock rims I have.
The difference ishard to describe, but the spokes are wider on the columbia then on the rim Ihave.
My next question is, whatare the issues surrounding 17" rims on this car. If I upgrade, whatissues should beconsidered? ie bolt pattern, rubbing, tire size(i know nothing aboutthis stuff, and it is hard to get a clear answer). As well, I dont want to buy the wrong type of rim again.
As always thank you Mods, and if these were answered somewhere else I certainly could not find it.

RE: Rim insanity
1. When buying from Ebay or other websites be sure of what your buying.
2. Upgrading to 17" rims should not be a problem. You will need to get rims with a bolt pattern of 5x108mm. Rubbing issues should not be a problem if you get the right tires.
Many many many people have upgrading to bigger rims with major to slight to no problems. But with 17's this shouldn't be an issue.
