Angry S70-battery light on during acceleration

I have a 1998 S70 non turbo. This week, the battery light comes on during acceleration but goes off when you are at a constant speed or during deceleration. It also does is not on when stopped at a traffic light or stop sign or just at idle.

Would this show up as an error code??? Does someone have any ideas?? I replaced the battery almost a year ago and everything has been smooth until now. My wife drives the car and it usually stays in town. She only puts around 5K miles on it per year....

Any input would be appreciated...

Stan

+1 on the charging system. If you know someone with a OBD-II meter, they can check the volts while the car is running. My guess would be something with the alternator as well. If it's the brushes that can be a very cheep fix if you can find someone to let you snag brushes only.
