Hi all,

I'm purchasing a 2000 V70 from family friends in Canada and plan to import it to Denver, where I live. The DMV requires that the odometer be changed to miles before it can be registered. Is this something I'd be able to do without the dealer, or will the Volvo shop be the only one able to make the change? If you've had it done by the dealer, how much did it cost you?

You'll have to call a dealer, the owners manual does not say.

If you don't like the price of your local dealer, you can call around on the route you will take and get it done on the way back to Denver.

 

You will need to buy a new dash cluster
Find a used one in a junk yard but you need to find one from the same year or at least a 98 for a 98, and a 99-2000 for a 2000
