s70, cranks, revs, idles, stumbles then dies
I;m working in a 1998 s70 with a non-turbo 2.4 engine. Original complaint was no start after initial start up. Discovered fuel rail not charged with fuel, changed the fuel filter, car started strongly the began running rough and eventually died. After several more starts, stumbles and die outs hookedup a coe reader and 4 codes: cyl misfire on 1, cylinder misfire on5, random/multiple cyl misfires, and fuel too rich bank 1. Replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor, car started strong but continued to run rough, stumble and die. There is a common link to this condition and i was thinking cam shaft position sensor failure, ignition coil failig or an ECM problem. Want to know if i'm on the right track and looking for other possible solutions. Estreet1

chachouu, do you know the firing order and which end of the engine is the #1 cylinder located. I replaced the plug wires one at a time, but sometimes it's easy to cross wire. now, the stumbling didn't start until after the fuel filter was replaced and i purged out air at the schrader valve on the injector rail and the line coming from tank into the fuel filter. Sometimes other problems develop coincidently while some problems are in the process of being fixed. I thank you for your suggestion and any other feedback you choose to share.

If it ran good after you did the plug wires, even briefly, then you did not cross any wires.
I am more inclined to think you're dealing with a fuel pressure issue. Suggest you buy, borrow, rent, a fuel pressure gauge and ck the pressure at the schrader valve.
A quick ck you can do is pull the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail (when engine not running) and see if there's fuel in there; there shouldn't be. If there is, you need a fuel pressure regulator.
Are you getting black smoke out the tailpipe?
