Ever since i got my 99 volvo s70 the radio has had some issues. When i plug my ipod into via fm transmitter from many different brands the volume continually changes. It goes loud then quiet and sounds like the treble and bass are al the way down. so is there any way to fix this?? And also sometimes when i put cd's in it reads error even though its a brand new cd. i have to put it in and take it out about 10 times then it works.

 

That sound like a common problem with FM-transmitter style connections.You could be getting interference from something over the air or in the car.I don't think it is a good way to connect anything. Personally, I would just put an aftermarket head unit with aniPod cable.

 

You know you can buy a Blitzsafe Ipod adapter. Plugs right into the back of your OEM headunit in the CD Changer input on the back and you just have to tap into a 12v source which is easy to do.

I have this adapter and love it.

Only downfall is that your Ipod is still controlled by your Ipod. The headunit wont control it.

If you want that function look into the USA Spec Ipod adapter.

 

The only aftermarket headunit i was going to put in is a indash touchscreen taht takes up the amount of room that is left when removing the stock **** for a radio. I want a touchscreen unit that fills it and i havefound few on ebay for about 300 that come with ipod cable and usb adapther along with a built in tv tuner.. is it worth it??

and also where can i get halo lights or projector lights for my car i have HID's and im trying to sell them now

 

Projector lights can be bought from ebay (Volvo Projectors). FYI 850 lights will not fit your s70.

They can also be bought from EuroSportTuning.

Why are you trying to sell HIDs? They will work wonderfully in projector headlights.

I have both and they look great.

 

im selling the HID because i need cash at the moment. i wouldnt be geeting projector lights for a long time and what about my question about the new unit?

 

If you really want a touch screen then go for it, but It better have a cd input or you will have to buy a cd changer also to listen to cds.
