tomecsi: I may need to do the same or close to the same replacement of parts on my S70. What type of spark plugs have you used, what brand of transmition fluid, the front end is very noise, parts need to be replaced. If you could give me some pointers that would be a great help.

Thank you
zander

Cool, did you do some of the work yourself?

All the work was done as a team effort between me and a buddy of mine.

I used the OESpectrum shocks and struts. Given the whole scope of work, I couldnt dish out the extra money for the Sachs or Bilsteins. Plus they had a $75 dollar rebate at the time I bought them. I'm satisfied with the ride quality.

Didnt replace plugs this time around but last time I used Bosch Platinums. Used Valvoline High Mileage 5w-30 oil and Valvoline High Mileage ATF.

As far as advice goes.... Buy OEM parts where you can. I bought my parts over the course of several months due to budget restrictions. Make sure you have replacement nuts, bolts and boots. If you need advice on where to buy the parts, I'd be happy to help you out. I'm a very frugal person and was patient for the best deals when I bought parts.

Another important piece of advice is to locate the chassis plate under the hood on the drivers side and write it down along with VIN when ordering parts. I learned the hard way that the inner tie rod ends are chassis specific depending on if your last digit is a 4 or a 5.
