Hi again. Absolutely lovin my '97 s70. But the dash computer tells me I have 55 mile of fuel left, then its runs out of fuel. Have tried the reset button, of no use. Any ideas ? ?

 

First I thought this was a joke and maybe it is.

But I will bite:

First rule: don't trust the computer readings
Second rule: keep the car you love so much full of fuel
Third rule: never run a vehicle that low on gas, you will burn out the fuel pump
Forth rule: if you keep doing this and running out of gas, then keep reading rule # 2 until it sinks in

 

Not a joke , especially when it happens in the middle of nowhere at 06.30am going to work .

Shame there's no reset button, or at least more accurate system.

 

The system is only a guess. If you really wanted to you could replace the unit.

 

Does your car have light to tell you it is time to refill?

 

(a) Will stick to 2nd rule
(b) Light comes on as running out, ie last mile
(c) Want to do more mods, instead of replacing annoying little "shytebits"
