Secondary Air Pump CEL P0410 - Recommendations?
98 Volvo S70 NA 138k. For about 6 months, the air pump had been making a much louder noise during the initial warm-up. Now, the P0410 CEL is on and the pump makes no noise whatsoever. I figure that I need a new pump, check-valve, and check-valve gasket.
Is there anything else that is recommended to replace when this is done?
Anyone have any experience with rebuilt pumps from here?: Volvo S70 V70 XC T5 Turbo and non turbo 1998 - Rebuilt Air Pump.com
Thanks.

You should also replace the check valve. These are often the cause of air pump failure- when the check valve starts leaking, hot exhaust gases+ acidic moisture drifts into the pump, causing it to rapidly fail. The check valve can be obtained for around $80-$100.
I have no experience with that company, but if they guarantee their pumps for 2 years... that's significantly cheaper than a new one, and might be worth a shot. It seems that that company rebuilds only the Pierburg air pumps that are used in lots of European cars, as well as Saturns and a few others. They're a pretty standardized unit. I've taken used VW air pumps and swapped out the guts- the pumps seem to last longer on VWs than on Volvos.
