Default service light

2000 S70 GLT, 130,000 miles service light came on yesterday when I started it up, it went off after a few minutes, other than going to the dealer, anyway to turn it off?

On the 1998, you have to purchase a reset tool for $90 - $169. Not sure if your model is the same.

Hi Chudley here.... I have s60 and the resetting service light is same on the s70 heres how.
Turn ignition off, Press and hold trip odometer reset. While holding button turn ignition to on position without starting engine. Service reminder light will start flashing after 10 secs. Release trip odometer reset button within 4 secs. Instrument cluster will produce a sound when reset complete and light will go out. If not released in 4 secs will not reset but will stop flashing. then you start all over again. Hope this helps.

Mine must be different. Ours can not be reset that way. Sorry for the bad info. If that works let me know and I'll delete my post.
