Service Light In A 98 S70
I know there have been threats about this many times, but im just too lazy to search for my particular quastion.
Anyway i was wondering when does the Service Light comes on, is it every 3,000 miles or every 5,000 miles?
And by the way when the Service Light comes on, is it for the oil change or is there something else that supposed to be done?

Someone probably pulled the bulb... You either have to go to the dealer, a shop that has a compatible scanner, or buy a $150 tool to reset it. Many people just yank the bulb. Take a flashlight and shine it in the lower right corner of the gauge cluster- it's there. 98 was the only year where you can't reset it yourself (and 96-97 850s) After that, you can reset it without any special tools.

I just bought one of these. I should have it in a day or two. I've been told that it can handle the service light as well as a host of other things. I'll report back once I've tried it. I'd love to turn that service thing off...
