soon to be S70 Glt owner
im getting a 1998 S70 glt and wanted to know what turbo was on it and if you could take a turbo from a 850 turbo 16 or even 15, will it bolt on?
and would I have to touch the ecu at all if i put a 16t on it from a 850
anything would be nice, and what is the fuel rail pressure on it? would i neeed to upgrade that if i put a 850 turbo
Thx

Yes the 16T will bolt on from what I've read. The turbo will not make the car faster if you don't upgrade the ECU. You can't just drop another ECU in there, it should be one from a T5 '98 S70 or one from a mod shop. It will be set to boost the larger turbo higher.
Fuel pressure should be fine unless you get a real high boosting ECU. In that case you may need to change the injectors to allow more fuel flow, not more fuel pressure.

Don't get me wrong; I really enjoy our GLT but you need to be a little more careful about adding HP to it.
