Default Speed Sensor Fault

I have a 2000 S70 and I have an error code #P0500, which is coming up as a "Vehicle Speed Sensor Fault." My "Check Engine" light has flashed a couple times, which I am now assuming this is the reason.

My air conditioner comes and goes as well. Seems to quit working when I am sitting in traffic or idling. I had it re-charged a few months ago, but figure I have a leak.

Anyone have any input?

could be any number of things with the a/c get some gauges hooked up on it and see what pressures it is running.

as to the Speed sensor. ABS, wiring, or the crank position sensor. Be a start.

Check engine light will flash is the computer has never displayed the code before. after that it will not. Only flashes for new codes. I would check the connector first, and make sure the loom isnt being pinched anywhere.
