Default Sway bar link help!

This may be the dumbest question on the forum but for some reason the pass side link when I unbolt the top nut the bolt pitches down and link goes up and it will not budge, I tried with another jack to raise the rotor up and tried raising at the bottom link and the top stud will not line up so that I may push out. I had the bottom nut off as well and the link will not budge. I didn't want to force it, afraid the sway bar may be under load and break something like my hands. The thing is I did the other side last year and it was easy. What am I missing?
Thanks

If you only have one side jacked up, the other side will put pressure on the torsion bar.
Lift both sides off the floor.
