Default Thermostat

I am replacing my thermostat soon,I was told I should flush the coolant as well.
what hose TO REMOVE in order to flush it completely

1998 S70 non turbo

With the thermostat out, you can take off the lower hose, radiator side and flush it. Thats probably what I would do myself.

Also there is a drain on the bottom of the radiator on the drivers side.

Now I am confused,I see the one on the lower right radiator (driver side),but there,s no other ones besides the top one that I can see.

I clearly see the Hose, that I have to unscrew and detach,but the drain I don,t see it how far is it from the hose

It is in the bottom of the radiator. It should be a little nipple sticking out. You will need a 13MM socket to loosen it.

If you are flushing it then I would say yes.
If you are just changing the thermostat I would say no. You can change the thermostat and not loose to much of it.

I agree with Tech, if youjust change thermostat, andthe coolantlooks good, I would let it eat.

I only have water in there which is why I want to flush it and put a Gallon of 100 antifreeze and half water.
