Default Tightening e-brake cable

I can lift the lever all the way to the last notch, and while at a crawl it feels as though very little pressure is being asserted on the brakes.

Just wondering if tightening the tension of my ebrake cable is something that I can do on my own with common tools or something I have to go to the dealership with.. If it can be done on my own, how so?

Thanks a bunch

There is an adjustment in the center console you will need a torxes bit to do it. I forget the size though I know it is pretty big.

Would that happen to be underneath the lever itself? I think I remember seeing a plastic insert that looks like it can be removed easily around there.

Thanks, I didn't realize it was that easy.

Open the console lid then pull out the cover in the bottom and you should see the screw in the middle foward of the hole.
