Default Timing Marks on Crank Pics incl.

I would have set a new record for installing a timing belt on a 2.4T if the crank had not moved. I was going to be done in 4.5 hours and the crank moved. I could not find the mark.

So I pulled the crank belt sprocket and I painted the marks bright blue. The only way to pull the belt without a fight is by removing the Serpentine pulley. Placing it back on with Serpentine on will just shorten the belts life from being stressed over the pulleys That is a piece of cake. The pulley with the puller attached showing the slots that mark the spacing of the correct slot to align the mark to plus the mark that centers on the block mark. that mark is hidden under the Serpentine crank pulley.

You are kidding right? People change timing belts all the time in 3 - 4 hours.
