I bought a used S70 from a reputable dealer (Acura dealer) here in Chicago - took it to Howard Orloff Volvo for a full checkup - here is the list of issues they identified:

I was wondering how urgent these are to get fixed - they are LOT of $$ and I cannot do it all at once:

Issue Cost

Air Pump - emissions: $856.00
Spring seats front springs: $525.00
Engine Mount: $171.00
Air guide/radiator protector: $145.00
Front brakes - rotors and pads: $595.00
Right-front wheel bearing: $439.00

Also, if anyone knows a good place to get this fixed at that will not charge so much, please let me know.

These are the order I would fix them in.
Front brakes - rotors and pads: $595.00 Major important to stop.
Right-front wheel bearing: $439.00 Needed so the right front wheel doesnt lock up.
Engine Mount: $171.00 Not sure which one but pretty much only causes vibration.
Spring seats front springs: $525.00 Makes a popping noise over bumps is pretty much all they do when bad.
Air Pump - emissions: $856.00 Yes it is emmisions related but can run fine without it.If you have inspection in your state then you might need to do it earlier.
Air guide/radiator protector: $145.00 Helps protect and guide air into the radiator. But not needed this minute.

 

You are getting hosed on that brake job.

 

I see that now as well I wasn't really paying attention to the price just what it was.
It should be around $369.00 or close to it.

 

.............appears that the Volvo dealer is attempting to make up for the loss of sale from the Accura dealer.....................
