Brand New Used 2009 Volvo S80 T6! Minor Problems Though
Hey guys, so I just sold my '95 850 wagon for $450 to the junk yard two days ago and picked up my 2009 S80 T6 yesterday! Oyster Gray Metallic and balck interior. 58k miles, $20,700 + $1k commission.
From what I see in the New York city area, is about about $2k off the average resale price. The car looks, feels and drives great
Anyways, that's the good news, the bad news is the car only came with one smart key and the is a problem with the rear passenger door locking mechanism.
I just ordered a used smart key off eBay $25 w/shipping. Nothing like used accessories for a used car! Do I have to get it programmed at the dealer or are there cheaper alternatives like a locksmith? Anyone do this before?
And for the door, It won't actually lock. The lock button will go down and then come back up. I don't see any visible damage to the door or the latch so I'm guessing it's an internal problem. Is this a cheap fix or will I very soon experience the pleasure of Ford-Volvo ownership?
I don't know when this happened but it may be recent because I don't know how it would've not been mentioned at the Manheim Auction. The told the dealer I wanted an s80 and he got it off the auction for me, hence the $1k commission.
Thanks a lot guys.
