Default Wheel Bearing?

Did anyone ever put baseball cards in their bicycle spokes as a kid? Because that's what my car sounds like when I'm driving it now. It started after driving over some rather rough pavement in Chicago with some rather aggressive cornering in morning traffic; though my boss said that he thought he heard something earlier that week. I checked the tires and there isn't anything in them.

1999 S70 105K
Symptoms:
- Right side of the car (Most likely rear passenger) I had a co-worker hang out the car while driving slowly to confirm this.
- If I turn to the right and unload that side, the noise stops.
- If someone is riding in the passenger side and/or I turn right the noise gets louder.
- Is speed dependant
- Have a slightly warped rotor on the rear right wheel.

... I also have the classic symptoms of a bad ABS module as described in many posts. Don't know if they could be related or not. (I'll need to get that rebuilt soon.)

I'm thinking it's the wheel bearing. I jacked up the car and there is no play in the wheel. Also when turned while jacked up there is no noise, save a slight dragging brake from the rotor and pads. ( I may need new pads too, it was getting too dark to tell.)

Thoughts? Thanks.

Default RE: Wheel Bearing?

I would say bad wheel bearing or bad tire.
