Hi all,

On my '98 S70, everything related to the right rear door is inoperative. The window switch doesn't work from the driver's panel or the right rear door panel. Also, the lock cannot be opened, even manually. It seems be stuck.

Is this as simple as a blown fuse? I get the feeling it's not because I assume the whole door system is on ONE fuse. Also, are the door lock and window systems related? Any troubleshooting ideas before replacing everything??

On a unrelated side note, anyone know of a good rear brake kit (calipers, rotors, pads)? I'm new to the Volvo world so I don't know who has the good parts deals.

Edit: The window switch on the right rear door does work, just not from the driver's panel. Still can';t get the door open.

 

you have multiple issues. first your master switch is bad - replace. the door lock on that door needs to be replaced. just make sure you get voltage at the door lock.
and as far as the brakes i like the advance autoparts wagner thermo quiet rotor and pad. pricey but good or dealership.

very easy, open it, rub the contacts with isopropilic alchool under the pins... if it aint working, rub a flat screw driver on the contact to remove any dirt there... it will work 90% chances...
