Ok so I recently brought my 02 s80 non-turbo to the dealer for diag of a no start after engine replacment. Before bringing it to the dealer i replaced the immoblizer ring with new oem part from Volvo.That made no difference. Being told by a few people that the immobilizer would need to be readapted to the car due to loss of adaption. After towing the car to the dealer they attempted to adapt the immobilizer still Cranks but no Start! So after deciding to leave the car with them later that week I recieve a call stating they could find nothing but it could be a flexing problem. Stating simply that the engine/transmission mating surfaces were bolted together dirty and that "Could" be the issue at hand. After further disscusion I was told that you couldnt just run a ground to the engine and see if this was true. Has anyone ever heard of this? P.S the car would start run for 2-3 sec and die before bringing to them.
